your vestibular something is not your destiny.

Wherever you are on your journey with your vestibular something, you get a fresh start. I know it may feel soul crushing and so heavy that you’re not sure how you could hold any control in the storm. You do. Even if you haven’t discovered it yet. How you move forward today can change your whole world. Your vestibular something may be a part of you (in this moment), but it’s definitely not all of you.

em’s story

Emily tells her story of getting hit with a vestibular condition seemingly out of the blue, exploring her way through healing, and eventually thriving with her vestibular condition and beyond. She shares an honest and raw account of her mind and body experience.

This book is her heart and soul transformed into the words, thoughts and feelings that decorated a chapter of her life. She shares about her path to healing, the overwhelming symptoms, experiences with doctors of western and alternative approaches, her holistic toolkit, a healing diet, climbing her way out of vestibular migraine attacks, and what it took to keep pushing through the darkness to find a grounded state.

Em made the decision to share her story to divulge everything that once felt broken and to create a path for others who are battling a vestibular something. She desperately wanted someone who had been in her shoes (or even a similar pair) to tell her that they had made it through. In this book, she tells the story and offers the support that she needed to hear.

Most importantly, this book is to bring a voice to a time when she felt like she had lost hers. It’s also to be a voice for the many Vestibular Warriors who deserve to be heard.

Amazon review:

“I first learned about Em Englert from her YouTube videos online about vestibular neuritis and migraine when I was first trying to figure out “what the heck was wrong with me.” Her content helped me so much on my journey to diagnosis and recovery and I am forever grateful. Her books are what I recommend to anyone with a vestibular condition or disease to help find understanding from another “warrior” as she recounts her story with very insightful tips and guidance. She is a fantastic writer! Very easy to read and process all the information and it is very up lifting.”

what Em learned along the way

Em’s second book encompasses the lessons and understandings that she picked up along her journey with a vestibular condition, but also the topics that come up in the wellness coaching work she does with Vestibular Warriors.

She explore topics such as setbacks and regressions, the weight of fear, rebuilding confidence, feeling life again, creating health through diet and lifestyle, and more.

There are many different labels and symptoms when it comes to vestibular somethings: vestibular neuritis, vestibular migraines, migraine associated vertigo, persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD), cervicogenic dizziness, Meniere’s disease, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), Mal de Débarquement…to name a few. Em had several of these condition labels thrown at her and ultimately looked to healing from the inside out.

Em inspires and empowers Vestibular Warriors around the word in elevating their wellness and supporting vibrant health as they navigate this human experience with a vestibular something and beyond.

Her hope is that this book is a light along your journey.

I think one of the misconceptions is that life starts again once you’re through the vestibular something. That’s not the case. Your life – with your vestibular something – starts when you say so. It may not look or feel the same, but it is still your life.
